Let them flee in exchange for resources/objects (varies according to the base tier). They could add rebel armies (torn flag), which offer possible events.īy attacking with superiority there is a possibility to generate dialogue. I think could add more objective dynamics, if apply some interaction between minor factions. (the focus is only on farming and exploring). In early game, it lacks some dynamics, it is simple at the beginning. When going through spells, I will be mostly taking the EG into consideration, starting areas and such. That is to say, the game is overall quite fun and quite replayable, but things could get improved. And I actually quite like that, even at the LG, you never truly roflstomp everything and there can be problems you have to solve. And as thus, I consider the game to have sort of inverse pyramid game design. * LATE GAME: This is where the game is at its peak. Now, that don't bother some playstyles(Nature + Alchemy), but most will have to move around. The Tower Move Range could be improved though, it's slow as molasses. The options start opening up, your chosen playstyle gets fleshed out, multiple quests etc come together to give you quite a good experience, all things considered. * MIDDLE GAME: This is where Conquest starts to actually be fun. Ideally, this entire system should be remade, but meh. Everything low level is both low power and low impact. And while that is good(more on that later), I don't think that necessitates this kind of EG. You notice that regardless of which Crafting and, mostly, regardless of which Schools you chose. More like a means to an end rather than like a proper, fun experience. * EARLY GAME: Yes, this is quite clearly problematic. Right now I want to share a rock solid opinion I have about Conquest and I will also mention some other things in this post. Also, I will review what you get, when you get, is it worth it and other contexts. Things are asymmetric(not to the ENDLESS levels, no, but they are) and that's how they are going to be judged. PREAMBLE: Given the nature of Conquest, multiple venues have to be looked at, not only the raw potential of a thing or what it can accomplish.
